Yercaud invites you with a cool climate. In Yercaud the temperature is always below 30 degree Celsius. Yercaud is a cheap place to visit. Because it is easy for every one to visit when compared to Udhagamandalam or Kodaikkanal. There are many places of interest in Yercaud which the people can visit. They are Pagoda Point, Killiyur Falls, Shevaroyan temple, Kaveri Peak, Arthur’s Seat and the Lady’s Seat. Yercaud Lake which is a picturesque pool is surrounded by trees and gardens. Boating through this cool Lake is interesting and it gives freshness. Near to this lake there is a park called Anna Park. It is a lovely garden with different kinds of flowers which attracts many people to this place. Lady’s seat is a place which is more beautiful during night times, Salem city appears as a twinkling lights from this Lady’s seat. The tourists usually watch the sight using the telescope which is mounted in the Lady’s seat. The next place is 3000 feet high Pagoda poi Killiyur Falls which is located in midst of the forest and is a beautiful site to watch. There is one famous temple called Servaroyan Temple, which is situated at the top of the Servaroyan hill. Every year the tribal people celebrate many functions here which reveals their tradition.
